Behaviour Support

What is Behaviour Support?

Behaviour Support involves creating and implementing strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours. This approach focuses on understanding the underlying causes of behaviours and developing tailored plans to promote positive behavioural changes.

Who Benefits?

  • Individuals with challenging behaviours
  • Families and caregivers seeking support
  • Educational and support staff working with individuals with behavioural issues

How We Implement a BSP.

  1. Assessment: Comprehensive evaluation of the participant's behaviour and needs, including face-to-face meetings.
  2. Plan Development: Creating a customised behaviour support plan with input from the participant and their support network.
  3. Implementation: Providing hands-on support and training to implement the plan, including regular face-to-face sessions.
  4. Communication: Maintaining ongoing communication with the family and support network to ensure everyone is informed and involved.
  5. Monitoring: Regularly reviewing and adjusting the plan to ensure its effectiveness, with continuous feedback from the family and support network.

What Happens

Participants receive a detailed behaviour support plan tailored to their specific needs. This plan includes strategies and interventions designed to manage and reduce challenging behaviours, improve overall well-being, and support positive behavioural changes through ongoing support, structured interventions, and continuous family communication.
